Shipping policy

We process your order the next working day. Usually, within two working days (not considering local holidays), most of the orders have left our winery.

Days it takes to deliver the goods

1-2 working days to Portugal and Spain;
3-5 working days to France, Germany, Netherlands, etc. 
7-8 working days to countries like Finland and Romania.
15 working days to the USA and United Kingdom.

The rule is: the further from Portugal, the longer it takes. The more bureaucracy there is in a certain country to import goods, the longer it takes.

Where do you ship to

If you live in Europe, it is likely that we can ship wine to you directly through the online store. Countries like Ireland, Norway, and some European Islands are excluded from our shipping zones. That doesn’t mean we can’t ship there, but you have to ask for a quote through email (tiago@sapateiro.wine) or WhatsApp (+351910602419).

Unsuccessful delivery or refused packages by the receiver

If the courier attempts a delivery and the receiver is not at home (at the given address), the courier can attempt a new date of delivery free of charge, or by charging a new shipping fee. Some couriers sometimes leave the packages at local pick-up points while others do not. 

It is totally outside of our control if the courier will charge for a new delivery or not. In case of unsuccessful delivery, it is not our responsibility to request a new delivery date and it is not our responsibility to pay for it. That is a cost you will have to bear, that's why we recommend shipping the goods to a place where there will always be someone who can get the package.

Unsuccessful deliveries or refused packages shipped to the United States mean that the receiver will have to bear the costs of the new attempt delivery. You won't be eligible for a refund if you refuse a package that was delivered in good shape.
